The Center for Above the Line Living is dedicated to helping people live their lives and create as leaders from a place of openness, possibility, and love, or "above the line." This requires learning to let go of old fear-based patterns that keep us from creating the deeply satisfying lives-and healthy organizations-we all desire. (For more on living above the line, see our April Newsletter.)
The Center is the umbrella organization for life coaching, leadership, and spiritual development founded by Ann Betz. Ann is a certified professional coach (CPCC) and an experienced spiritual teacher who creates a loving, playful, and safe environment in which transformational learning and spiritual growth can occur.
Ann has both a passion and a gift for making spiritual teachings and theory real, understandable, and powerfully applicable in participants' day-to-day lives. Over the past seven years, she has developed and led numerous workshops on the power of living from love, not fear; trusting your inner wisdom; creativity; as well as coaching skills, facilitation and leadership. Ann is the founder and former executive director of the non-profit organization AmeriCoach, which provides leadership development and training for young leaders engaged in community service.
In 2005, Ann and her husband Robert sold their house and most of their possessions and moved with their 9-year old son Noah from Minnesota to 60 acres in Costa Rica overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There, they enjoy a simpler life watching the cycles of nature from their veranda. Ann spends her time painting, coaching, leading retreats, horseback riding, and writing a book about living above the line.
